Sounds like Mo is still counting on FA's taking less money just for the privlidge of playing in STL?
The game is changing and are we going to change with it? Thats a question you have to ponder? Really?? Mo, either you change to the new baseball reality or be left behind.

A team that says it rarely wins a bidding war, might have to.
“Historically, we haven’t,” Mozeliak said. “That’s something that we may have to recalibrate ourselves and rethink it. We’ve had a very disciplined process to date and it has worked. I think we all recognize that sometimes you have to change. Sometimes you have to do things that get you out of the comfort zone. I’m not suggesting that that’s exactly what we’ll do. But my point is think back over the last few years and the model was definitely working. But the game is changing a bit. Are we going to change with it? It’s certainly something that we understand that we have to be cognizant of — and willing to accept.”
