Marco Gonzalez.
I've said my piece on Cargo; I think he's fool's gold. But I don't think terribly highly of Marco either so it's not like I think I'd be giving up a ton for him.

Those folks that are saying that we'd have to give up Reyes and Piscotty for him are !@#$ing insane (or they're that idiot Cubs fan). The Rockies got essentially nothing for Tulowitzki; they took on an even worse contract and got a reliever plus Jeff Hoffman. Okay, nothing is strong, but Hoffman's still more flash than substance at this point. As a 22 yr old in high A he had below average K rates and an above average WHIP. Granted, he needed to knock some rust off after the TJ, but that's still a serious risk to take.
Look at it this way - would you trade Marco Gonzalez to the Rockies for Jeff Hoffman and Jose Reyes knowing that you'd have to pay Reyes $48 million over the next 2 years? Shit no, you wouldn't. At least I damn sure wouldn't.
So use the transitive property here - Marco alone is more valuable than the Hoffman/Castro/Reyes package, IMO. And Tulo is more valuable than Cargo, IMO.
So why in the world would I give up anything more than Marco for Cargo? And if it costs more than that, I simply walk away from the table.
