They were never going to take a QB. Every year, CP falls in love with a QB and develops a delusion that it might happen, but it should be obvious to anyone that they are fine with Alex Smith right now, especially coming off his best year as a Chief, and when you are two games away from the super bowl, you aren't starting a rebuild.
