So the Chiefs go pure Moneyball. They draft players who, in most cases, should have gone a round earlier in the draft. Jones should have gone in the first, but motor problems caused him to fall. Russell should have gone earlier, but for his injury. Robinson should have gone a round or two earlier, but his suspensions dropped him. And so on.
Dorsey is leaning hard on his locker room and his head coach to get the most out of these characters.
