Cutty is filling the gap for Moose defensively, and is providing league average production at the plate. Let him play out the season, then when Moose is back next year fill him in a utility role. CC is 23 years old, there could be value there in the off-season if he has a nice year at the major league level. Also, with Dozier swinging at solid bat in AAA right now (.298/.352/.500), it just gives the Royals that much more margin for error come 2018 if he continues to improve like he has been.
IMO, Cuthbert could be great trade-bait come this off-season. If the right deal comes along involving a starter, DM needs to take it. Pending on if CC can finish the year off strong.

Cuthbert can only really play 3rd so utility isn't an option. If he hits 20 HR and is a plus defender at 3rd that is a commodity high in demand given his age.
Dozier is also playing great at Omaha so you have some flexibilty.
