Re: Cuthbert, he's a good defender at 3B and has been very steady at the plate. Good ABs, and he is on pace right now to be a 20-HR hitter.
If he continues to hit like this over the rest of the season, I think you go into next year with DH as a semi-open spot.
Cuthbert gets maybe 100-110 starts at DH if he continues to hit, with The other 50 or so games being used to rotate guys through and keep them fresh. Don't forget Cuthbert was a huge sign out of Nicaragua ($2 million) and was on top 100 lists early in his minor league career. He struggled at A+ and higher, but it appears he came through them stronger. His walk rate right now is just 5 percent, but I think we see that come up once teams start respecting him a little more. He was always a 10 percent or so guy in the minors.
He can be a big piece of the future in KC if this holds up (offensively).
