This describes Chris Farley's career as much as it does McCarthy's but I doubt anyone here would question his talent. Watch Spy and tell me if her entire schtick is based around making fun of obnoxious fat people.
Anyway, my whole point in bringing this up was casting her was a reasonable decision based on her bankability and talent. Not the president of her can club or anything.
