It takes a lot of work, a lot of persistence, and a lot of time to get to the payoff, but there is definitely a HUGE payoff if you stick it out. There is an indescribable high when you are playing great music with great musicians. And when you are doing it in front of an audience that is responding to it even more. And those nights when everyone in the band is in a zone at the same time are magic.
