How the **** do you know what they were offering and what Houston/Berry were asking for?
Guys like Houston and Berry that are established are more willing to bet on themselves. You don't think Houston saw his 22 sack season coming? In Berry's case he's asking for way too much.
A guy like Fisher will take this deal because it's good for him with where he's at in his career. For us it gets the deal done before he becomes too expensive. Obviously that is what Dorsey is betting on here. It's a win/win and you're somehow trying to spin it as a negative with terrible reasoning.
