There is no way we resign Moss. Why? We have plenty of 1B. Bader and Piscotty can hold down the corner outfield positions long term.
We are going to make the qualifying offer but some other team will give him a 2-3 year deal worth more than the qualifying offer per year. We get a 1st rounder.
How much WAR did or will we get out of Moss? Plus a 1st rounder?

Um....name one that isn't named Brandon Moss.
We're done with this Adams experiment now, right? Another season of poor progress and injury. The kid isn't a major league starter. Holliday's worse than Moss...by a lot.
Bader's plate discipline numbers in minors aren't actually better than Grichuk's were and Grichuk was younger when he accumulated them (Grichuk actually struck out less often but also walked a little less). Bader's not the sure thing so many are projecting him as. DeJong's a utility player, IMO.
This team needs hitters desperately and there's a very good chance they at least make a strong effort to retain Moss. Perhaps someone out-bids them, but that doesn't mean they aren't going to be aggressive in trying to keep him.
The hitters on this team that might actually make a difference are still in the low minors, IMO.
But hey, that calculus changes somewhat once we wise up and bring on Yasiel Puig, who's .481 BA actually went UP to .500 yesterday...
