Remember that movie Return to Paradise with Vince Vaughan and Joaquin Phoenix? Basically Joquain got thrown into a Malaysian prison for some drugs that he was sharing with Vaughan and another guy. Vaughan and the other guy made it back to the states but Phoenix got caught. The judge said if the other two guys come back - all 3 of them serve 2 years. If one comes back they both serve 6. If no one comes back Phoenix gets the death penalty.
How funny would it be if the judge put on his troll face and said something like "2 years for the 3 remaining swimmers. But if Lochte comes back you all get 3 months"? Just put all the pressure on Lochte.
I always felt like Lochte was kind of a defective human. The A-Rod of swimming.
