Marty? His line was constantly shuffling and could never run block well. Vermeil had an amazing offensive line from 2002-2004 but before and after, it was just above average.
No one's expecting Ehinger to be Shields. That's ludicrous. But he's going to struggle all year with his lack of strength and the fact that like Fisher, he played against a lower tier of college players in the AAC.
He'll be greatly improved next year but he's going to struggle early and often this season. There's just no way around it.
