I know I'm coming off snobbish, but that stuff is really gross. Use real wine. That stuff is just cheap, shitty wine, and salt. Take a taste of it by itself. If you wouldn't drink it, you definitely don't want to cook with it where the flavors will concentrate.
I keep little bottles of wine around just for cooking so I don't have to uncork a whole bottle.

I totally understand what you're saying. This is just a trial run, I'll be able to if the wine ruined it or not. I'm making this for my family next week, just a practice run.
