In other news, how badly did we miss Cueto and Zo? Obv great players that outsized this market, we weren't going to keep them but....Cueto finished 4th in pitching fWAR at 5.5, Zo at 4.1. We got almost nothing from 2B and our rotation, so you can say a net loss of -8 wins. 89 gets a playoff spot.
Also Moose losing 3 fWAR from last year to Cuthbert a replacement player mattered, that's basically all you need to explain the gap from 2015. Those 3, we make the playoffs. |
