The Browns would have $10 million in Dead Money but they'd have savings of $3.4 million this year.
Currently, the Browns have $50 million in cap space for 2017 so they could afford the Dead Money.
If the Browns cut him in 2017, they'd have $6.8 million in Dead Money, so I could see them trading for a 3rd or 4th or 5th in lieu of saving $3 million next year.
That said, he's a shell of his former self. Maybe a change of scenery would help but that's a pretty big risk considering he hasn't been a top CB in years.
