I created a thread a couple of weeks ago and ended up deleting it and I wish I hadn't. It was titled "Is Jamaal Charles done in KC?" People have given me shit for it, but we're not carrying that salary next year. He's just not the same guy he was before this last injury and he's not healing up the way we all thought he would. It's sad, but I fear his time here is coming to an end. Not in the way he wants or deserves either. I thought he was going to leave after Jovan Belchered himself, but he stayed. I just want him to have the fairy tale ending and it's looking more and more like it's not going to happen. I genuinely hope he gets to have all the Escalades again at some point here, or somewhere else.

Thanks so much for covering for me last week. I went to a gathering of close friends who had a memorial for one of my best buds who killed himself back in March. Important for me to be there.
As to your point on Charles, yeah, he won't fit into the budget next year unless he was to re-structure. I think he may just retire. Running backs gererally have a limited shelf life. That's why guys like Marcus Allen who play at a high level for a very long time are rare. Gore today for Indy is one of those guys who has played for a very long time, and this is probably his last year. Hopefully Charles is not done for the year, but we could sure use him next week....
