Smith is our QB and that is reality. No matter what happens this weekend. This TEAM is 5-2 and looking good going forward. Smith is not the reason we are 5-2. The TEAM is the reason. Smith is part of the TEAM. Chiefs are winning as a TEAM. They are not winning on one facet alone. They are not winning because of Smith. They are not winning because of the defense. They are not winning because of the running game. They are not winning because of special teams. They are winning because of all of it. AKA: TEAM.
Personally, with the reception rules being so wide open, I don't see the risk/reward of the "deep ball" as that good anymore. Pray for a penalty I suppose. This TEAM is more precise that that.

Word. I rewatched the Pitt game the other day (Even if you believe I strictly wear Alex Smith homer glasses) but that was just a sloppy job on all parts of our team. DL was getting zero pressure, DB's were getting burned. Leveon Bell was gashing our linebackers. Receivers were missing routine catches. Smith started the game poorly and so did Ware. Once you spot a team like Pitt 3 scores, it's over unless your defense can offset the turnover differential and you play a perfect game for the remaining 35 minutes.
Team effort. They have to grow as a team if they're going to be successful...just like the year we mauled the Pats and they went on to win the Lombardi.
