I said in another thread that immediately after a sprain, it's actually not that bad. You can stand on it, walk on it, run etc. It's not until several hours after the injury that things get bad. Like the next day. I've sprained my ankle a few times, and it's pretty rough. Also, even after the swelling decreases, it's easy to re-injure it with the slightest 'off' movement.
I know that the Steelers have a tendency to blow smoke up everybody's ass, but he could actually be hurt.
