That said, Moss really hasn't been much worse statistically and he was much cheaper. He won't hit for as high an average, but he probably has a bit more power. If nothing else, Soler and Moss are going to be guys in the bottom third of the order who will punish mistakes a long way. Obviously we'll need more out of Soler but at least for this year, it'll help the offense to have #7 & 8 hitters who can bash 20 homers. I think that's what Dayton wanted.
