I guess that's that.
The Chiefs cannot give up what it will take to move into the top 10 and the cost/benefit doesn't work out as well anymore either since the 5th year option on a quarterback taken in the top 10 QB would be the rough equivalent of a franchise tag for him.
So you're getting 4 years under cost, 1 of which is on the bench. And for that privilege you're probably giving up your 1st and second this year and next.
Mahomes has been my top target since this process started but I just cannot see giving up the bullets needed to make that happen.
