*As far stars go, I'm disagreeing with you a bit on that front because there are lots of nba all-stars that don't win NBA titles. To be more specific, it's pretty much if your team doesn't have a world class player, like a top 10 elite talent (I.e., Michael Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, S Curry) the chances of them winning are highly unlikely.

To an extent. The 2004 Pistons didn't really have that great of an individual player like MJ, LeBron, Shaq etc... I'm sure there are other examples. But yes with Basketball usually the team with the best player wins.
It's still a team game but it's less of a team sport than football IMO.
