I worked for a grocery store as a punk 16 year old kid. They called it "maintenance". I would push carts, sort cans that people brought into recycle, face shelves, clean the bathrooms. That part actually wasn't too bad, but we had to clean this grease trap about once every two weeks. The "grease trap" was back near the bakery and meat department, and that is where all the gobbly goop and excess animal fat, bakery grease, etc would be stored until it was taken out in waste. I still recall the stench to this day. At least 3 of my associates yaked while trying to do it. Then we had to get a shop vac and suck up the excess. It was horrible.
