I will say this -- Payton represents a style of head coaching that I generally dislike -- I'm the GM but I'm also the coordinator for one side of the ball and "I have little/no responsibility for the other side, which I will leave entirely in the hands of that coordinator". McCarthy falls into that category also. Not a big fan of that approach.

I'm not saying he's a bad coach. But if we're going to ding gruden, I certainly think it's fair to ask why a one and done coach like Payton doesn't belong on the list also.
