I want to move on from Alex Smith as much as the next guy. But it was important to get the playoff win monkey off their back. The Chiefs had a losing culture for so long that nobody wanted to play here. Under Alex Smith, the franchise stabilized from chaos and that included 1 or 2 years where he got knocked around behind a shitty OL. Maybe the Chiefs should have found a rookie QBOTF sooner, but I have no will against Alex Smith or his contract.
