During his time at Tech, he picked up on reading defenses quick. OU and KSU and then Charlie Strong's defense at UT were the most challenging in the Big 12, but Mahomes figured out Arkansas' defense in a hurry, and even did well against LSU's, albeit in a losing effort.

Y'all remember: He was no slouch in the classroom, landing first-team Academic All Big 12 honors, won Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year, and more academic accolades.

The kid is smart and he takes instruction and coaching very well.

If he's FORCED to play, it could screw up his development.

If he's READY to play, which would defy ALL expectations and make the Browns, 49ers, Bears and others look ****ing stupid, then good for him and the Chiefs.
Mahomes has defied all predictions and expectations since his senior year in high school. No reason to doubt he'll continue that trend early on in his NFL career.

In watching the highlight video clips posted here, I'm seeing vintage Mahomes, but with a lot of refinement that is already evident just from his short few weeks with Reid and the Chiefs.

It also appears he's developing some very good on-the-field chemistry with a few of the receivers, notably Hill.

All I can say is don't be surprised if he gets more regular season snaps than anyone--Andy Reid included--anticipated when he was drafted. I watched this kid over-achiever and exceed all expectations for three years at Tech.

Ain't nothing wrong with single engine--we got a C-172, a fully restored 1941 Taylorcraft and am in the process of building an RV9A. One big fan up front is enough to keep us going where we go.
