The fact that I read it before this show made this show weird for me to watch. Dropping in Flint, Silver and the other fantasy charachters in the middle of that true story always bothered me. It is a great enough story on its own. That said I still mostly enjoyed the series (especially season 3). The ending was terrible however. Absolutely hated it.

True enough about the fantasy characters, they could've just went with Blackbeard as the main character... but I really did like the actor portraying Flint, he was very believable, as well as Silver to a lesser degree
But yeah, as much as I LOVED season 4... I'll just pretend Flints ending never happened
