I've been to Steak & Shake twice in the past 16 month. It's a full service restaurant at the Burbank Media Center, not a drive thru, so my experience may be different.
The first time, in the Fall of 2016, the fries were dried out and the burger not very tasty. I ordered chili fries and they were not good.
We tried it again in July and the food was excellent. I was shocked. They also had a deal for the kids in which they received free shakes of their choice.
Two burgers, three fries, two lemonades, an iced tea and two kid's shakes was $21 dollars with tax, which is a steal in today's market.
