Lots of speculation in this thread mixed with some weird hating. Just some FYIs...for the guys talking about Alex not wanting to go to the NFL until his senior year in college...he graduated from Utah in 2.5 years. Those bagging on Alex's wife...she is a former Raiderette and a nice, classy woman. Regarding Alex, when he was with the 49ers (in the Harbaugh years), I sat next to him at a party once and had a chance to talk to him about the team and his experience. From my perspective, he was sensitive to the fan hate against him engendered during the Mike Nolan/Singletary years. As much as he had reason to throw them under the bus for the jokes they were, he had nothing bad to say about them, or anyone else. Just a classy guy all around. The type of guy you would want your daughter to marry...million dollar contracts or not. I think his demeanor is mistaken for a lack of competitive will. He's as competitive as the next. He's just not a prick.
