I've seen TFA a dozen times but it's still difficult for me to get through. TLJ had so much ridiculousness (the "Slow Space Chase", Snoke's easy death, Leia floating in space, Canto Bight, which missed on the obvious, and Luke running away) that I'll need to see it a few more times once it's available on VUDU next year.
For the record, I can watch Rogue One any time of the day or night, even a year after release.

Completely agreed. I love Rogue One and I still see so much more potential with the standalones in this series. There's never going to be the pressure on the standalones that the Skywalker saga has - (though Solo and Kenobi will be interesting to see on screen).
I like TFA okay, but I haven't seen it since it was in theaters. I own it, but I always end up watching A New Hope instead. So many of the "big" moments in TFA feel like listless shadows of its superior inspiration, but they lack the context that made A New Hope stand the test of time. Moments like a droid carrying secret plans to the rebels/resistance, blowing up the Death Star, and Luke/Rey mastering the force just didn't have near the impact that they did in the original.
It's possible I'll sour on TLJ, but I at least was on the edge of my seat and couldn't anticipate where it was going next - and I want to see it again, which isn't something I could ever really say about TFA.
Rogue One definitely has both beat, though. I'm hoping Ron Howard comes through in a similar way next year.
