And Bowser, remember the morning of Star Wars Celebration like in April last year? I got up extra to early to watch it on my family room TV via YouTube and you and I were FB chatting?

Could we have been more excited about this film?
I was the same. In fact this was the most excited I've been to watch a SW's film since I was a little kid and ROTJ came out (the only one I was old enough to watch in theaters.) I was excited to see Luke take on Vader as a badass and I was excited to see Luke complete the circle and pass on the torch.

I fully expected the Snoke/Ray back stories to be explained to help flesh out ep 7 a little more. Perhaps a twist here and there.

Instead it felt like "We don't care what you want here's what you'll get from here on out."

If it were just a bad movie I wouldn't be so pissed. People make bad movies all the time. The problem is that Disney does this with every property they consume. They've done it with Marvel, ESPN, and now SW's.

They piss on what people love about the property, they then interject politics, and when you don't like it the narrative is that you are the problem. To me this would be the same as giving Kirk Cameron SW's and suddenly the force is full of over the top Christian messaging. No one wants to see that shit either...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
