It makes sense that Mahomes doesn’t know most of the playbook. I remember Andy saying that it takes QB’s roughly 4 years to grasp the entire playbook.
Alex’s best quality was that he was a smart guy (gigabytes!) and it took him until 2016 to get the whole playbook down.
That’s probably why Andy is changing a lot of the playbook to incorporate Mahomes college principles.
Can’t blame anyone for not knowing a playbook 100% that likely is as big as a phonebook.
