Yeah, I'm trying to find a 'why' here and I just don't think I can. The D really wasn't the shitshow the scoreboard indicates (safeties were shit again though - gotta get Lucas out ther more). The offense did all it could with Donald playing like he was.
I mean ****, it was just a loss to a really good team in their barn. It happens. I'd like to see some breakdowns to see if there were more guys getting abused on D than I saw but apart from Sorensen just looking too damn slow and tentative, I didn't think anyone else was obviously awful. We had a shitload of man coverage and when Goff had 3+ seconds to throw, he hit 'em. That's gonna happen with a good QB throwing to a good pair of WRs working in man. We had to pick a poison and by the end our rushers were gassed and we had nothing left to give. A play needed to be made that wasn't and that's that.
It's football - it happens. I don't see a 'blame' here.
