Yeah they did. They were a drop, stop, or deflection away from having the ball back with time to go down and get the game winning TD. The offense did it's job and Mahomes did his thing. Expected yes, but not a guarantee.
That being said, I agree Berry shouldn't have been put in this game. It's a calculated risk, but a good one IMO.
