I was thinking the other day about how Spags hopefully adopts the attitude the Broncos had when they had Manning. I cannot recall the Broncos D ever being soft or playing off. I cannot recall people saying things like "their offense scores too fast so they have to play back some or they will get gassed" and things like that.
I do recall their defense being relentless down after down knowing that if they got burned they had a QB that was going to pick them up.
This was my problem with Sutton especially last year. Hopefully Spags goes after things a lot more aggressively knowing we have an offense that can pick them up if they get burned being aggressive.
Would you rather see that or see them try and "pace themselves" throughout the game? I know it sounds like a silly question but there are people who think that being aggressive the entire game will is not a good tactic.

I mean... draft a guy like Von Miller and employ the best secondary in the NFL first. We have a ways to go. You can press everyone when you have 3 awesome CB's and a monster pass rush.
Talent is king. I don't see KC with the talent (espcially without Jones) to break into the top 15 in yards allowed, but if the offense can dominate TOP and the D can just get turnovers, they can do well in the points allowed area.
From what I saw last year, that could be enough. Just don't go backwards.
