Like, if he were a tolerable person, they wouldn't care, and they might actually be friends with him too, but it turns out that Dieter is actually super annoying, but they don't want to piss off Pat, so they just have to deal with it?

For example, look at when Dieter says to Tyreek, "Did you like my picture on Instagram yet? You're in it!" It's like he's trying really hard to get cool points so he an climb up the social ladder in high school. And Tyreek doesn't say anything, but you can tell expression-wise with that faint smile he's just like, "Mhmm... suuure... yeah, that's great, Gehrig" and then just hits the like button only because he knows Pat is watching

While this is funny, Dieter and Tyreek have been working out together this offseason. He actually seems like Tyreek’s best friend on the team. Tyreek certainly wears the pants in that friendship though.
