Retro.
My last spring/summer job in high school before 2 a- day football, was Venture. Housewares Dept. On 95th (by the now I435 ramps just west). Still laugh when I’m in KC and get that way.
Got stabbed in the arm there tackling a shoplifter in the parking lot with my fellow football buddy, who worked out at the Venture gas station. Girl put a feminine pad on it. Nurse told her good thinking. I was just embarrassed about it.
Usually left work and hit the then 18 age (we weren’t) Kansas 3.2% beer joints.
