This does feel like the first time since Montana that we are peaking at the right time.
  • 1989: Dave Szott holding - I think we could have won it all that year
  • other early 90s: don't remember but we just weren't that good
  • 1993: Montana's magic run
  • 1995: QB controversy
  • 1997: Another QB controversy, Broncos clearly better
  • 2003: Indy was definitely better, our D got worse as the year went on
  • 2006: No passing game
  • 2010: team got worse after hot start, injuries before playoffs
  • 2013: defense disaster, Sutton should have been fired, team stumbled after going 9-0, more injuries before and during playoffs
  • 2015: NE clearly better
  • 2016: Pitt clearly better
  • 2017: team not peaking at all
  • 2018: defense getting worse as year went on
