Really not drastic differences between any of the lists here, which means that the Chiefs shouldn't have any real big surprises.
Some questions might be -
1. Do they keep DeAndre Washington or Darwin Thompson or can they trade either one? Cutting Washington means $300,000 of Dead money. Cutting Thompson means almost $100,000 of Dead money. In the NFL a team needs several good running back to make it through a season.
2. Who will be the last one or two WRs kept? Marcus Kemp, Jody Fortson, and even Justin Shelton-Mosley might be on the beginning roster.
3. At OT will it be Jackson Barton or Greg Senat and how will they try to keep players like Martinas Rankin, Yasir Durant, and Darryl Williams?
4. How many DEs will the Chiefs keep? Will Breeland Speaks and Taco Charlton be there? Is there a possible player trade/swap?
5. Is Tershawn Wharton really an NFL DT?
6. Will the Chiefs go with 5 or 6 linebackers? Linebackers on special teams have been important. Can players from other positions fill that role?
7. Who will win the battle at backup safety for KC between Rodney Clemons, Adrian Colbert, Armani Watts, and Tedric Thompson? Cutting Watts would result in $316,116 in Dead money. Cutting Thompson would result in $100,000 of dead money.
8. Can our current CBs hold down the fort until Bashaud Breeland returns? Will Breeland's suspension only be 4 games or will he possibly be suspended for some additional games this season? This 4 games suspension is not for his latest incident.
