Is he a bad coach because of those decisions?

You're really going to compare a HOF coach who constantly wins to a guy who is 0-1 thanks to one of the worst decisions ever?
You act like Reid hasn't been destroyed by fans from both cities he's coached in. No coach as successful as Reid has ever been so criticized. I remember when that dipshit Bob Fescoe had an epic meltdown on air after the Colts loss, screaming for several minutes and even taking shots at Reid's weight. Embarrassing.
Those playoff losses are considered horrible because he had big leads. He didn't have big leads because he had a huge advantage in talent. He had big leads due to his playcalling and gameplanning. He was a victim of his own success in those situations. No one would have bitched about his coaching if they'd been behind all game and lost by the same score.
