Yeah their media and fans, as proven in this thread, were never thinking tie. Scoreless no less. I do agree that the last 25 min England had half resigned themselves to the fact that they weren't outplaying the US and willing to settle in for the point.
Would have liked to have seen the US be more aggressive. Hard to blame them though. Human nature is going to set in and they know that getting a result here is a stepping stone for this countries soccer program. At the very least they don't need to worry about Wales pulling some miracle I guess.
