In a situation like this, a lot of times I'll side with the police.
In this case, my argument would be that the police would have no issue publishing his mug shot on TV or newsprint. The police would share their body cams in a FOI request and their videos could be shared of him and his family, even if embarrassing.
The should go eat a box of glazed and move on. They're wrong.
