I think that's valuable. Veach likes to enter the season with $8m to $10m in cap space in case he wants to do in-season roster canoodling (spoiler: he will absolutely do in-season roster canoodling), and we'll still have $6m to $8m to ink Hopkins, which we absolutely can.
Who knows, if Hopkins' first year cap hit is small, he may ink Dunlap as well.

I think Smith is solid when healthy, and indications are that he's healthy.
About the only thing needed to cement this as one of the most dominant stretches in NFL history would be a team that embarrasses opponents on the regular and makes them feel hopeless. With Hopkins, and assuming that the young players take another step forward, this could be the team to do it.
