I really don't get the big deal. I have had a female trainer, and it was no big deal. It was just business. Work out, work on this, and yells at you to push yourself. I would imagine a gay trainer would be similar.
I worked with gay physicians in the ER back in the day, and trust me we get ourselves tied into way more awkward positions than personal trainers do. Nothing was ever said or done that wasn't professional.
Gay people are just people, like most people they aren't looking to mess up their jobs to hit on their clients.
