This is a relevant thread to me as my mom is pretty much bed ridden at home right now.We have a hospice nurse that comes by,but not even every day.They told me some nursing home prices and they were really high,plus i've heard the care can be pretty shoddy.As the only child,i've pretty much been her care taker,but it can be difficult somedays.I called her insurance and they don't offer any assistance for in home nurse aids,still trying to figure out if she can get assistance anywhere else before we start to pay out of pocket. Anyway best of luck to you OP and your current situation.
