Whenever stuff like this happens, I do try to remind myself it doesn't do any good to lash out at the player.
It usually will just make them play worse. There have already probably been idiots who have said terrible things to him on social media. And the reason for it, is that he's denied us the sense of vicarious victory fans get when "our" team wins, which is the most fun part of being a fan.
Yet, it's also an illusion. We really don't have a damn thing to do with what happens on the field (other than the noise we provide that helps disrupt opposing offenses).
