Let me just throw this your way and you can tell me how you feel about it.
Patrick Mahomes drops back to pass. Donovan Smith maintains his block for 2.5 seconds. At 2.9 seconds, Mahomes is sacked for an 8 yard loss.
Did the offense win that down?
Joe Burrow drops back to pass. OBj can only maintain his block for 2.4 seconds but it doesn't matter because Burrow released the ball in 2.0 seconds for a TD.
Did the offense lose that down?
Did both QBs require that their lineman block for 2.5 seconds?
If you answered "no" to any question, the stat is useless in any manner of judging success.

You realize stats are about sample size, right? Any single instance can be disregarded - but getting below average PBWR despite throwing the ball faster than all but 1 QB in the league means something.
And again - I'm citing the context YOU said didn't exist in noting that as mediocre as your OL has performed in that area, those stats are actually INFLATED by the special needs offense you fellas have to run to cover for their inadequacy.
Again - you can throw the ball quickly when you have elite WRs and still push it downfield - Tua's doing it. But you CAN'T do it when you are worried about the pocket collapsing around you. You say it's because Burrow is immobile - you see Kirk Cousins out there leaping away from pass-rushers to get his 2.7 seconds?
You have a team that's not looking downfield. They have the weapons to do so and if their OL could protect their QB for more than 2.5 seconds, maybe Burrow wouldn't need to have a TTT of 2.36 - more than a half second quicker than Mahomes is getting the ball out - to keep himself alive.
Your OL is shattered ass, brah. You can tell yourself this is all about Burrow's calf and not poor roster management. But it's not. You have an OL that's going to grind Down Syndrome Montana into a fine powder and that's not going to change this year, next year or probably the year after.
Hope you guys enjoyed that SB loss - it's as close as you're going to come to that elusive SB ring.
