LT and RT are not as different as they once were. You need athletic pass blockers at both spots. And teams don't leave DEs on "their side" no matter what anymore, either.
All comes down to who they have to pair with Taylor and where they're better, for me.

Absolutely.
But for MOST teams, the distinction in RT vs. LT is the help provided by the TE. We don't get as much benefit there because Kelce spends less time in-line than most. But when the majority of teams don't operate the same way we do, that's a market force that makes RTs a little cheaper.
So if you can get a better player for the same money (or an equal player for less money) at RT than you can at LT, do that, upgrade the total talent level of your bookkends and move Taylor to LT.
That's why I air-quoted 'ascend' when I said it - on THIS team, it's not really some massive promotion. But on the market, I think you can get a little more for your money at RT.
