I saw them in the late 80's for Permanent Vacation. Awesome show, still at the height of their powers. Glad I got the chance.
Regarding how much these old ****ers charge to come see them, yeah, it's pretty nuts to pay that much to see any band, let alone one that is on their way out. But that's why they charge what they do, it's the "last" chance to see them...until they come around again. You never know if they are really gonna call it quits, so people fork over the cash.
As you can tell by my sig, I'm a HUGE Alice Cooper fan. He's still touring, still releasing music and still absolutely rocks in concert. And you can see the Coop for 50 bucks still. Alice is the man. He's like 75 now, so one would think he'd be hanging it up, but he's still touring. I've seen him 11 times in my life, and thought each of the last 2 or 3 that it would be the end. He just keeps going. Just saw him last year with Motley Crue and Def Leppard. He was way better and more entertaining than Motley Crue. If you have a chance, go see the Coop. You will not regret it.
