I think maybe he meant Gabbert?
Daniel and Gabbert went out there in similar year-end situations with backups and didn't completely poop on their shoes.
Chase Daniel is essentially the perfect backup QB. Calm, competent, coachable and unambitious. He's content holding clipboards and waiting for that last game of the season.
And he's going to show up and run the offense if/when he does.
Wentz showed the least of any of the backups we've had in a situation like this during the Reid era. He just didn't demonstrate a single positive trait on Sunday.
I'll say what I say about coaches -- I don't need a reason to fire one. I need a reason to KEEP one. And I didn't see any reasons to retain Wentz yesterday.
Coaches see more than I do so if they wanna keep him, so be it. But there was nothing positive to take away from that game.
