Wentz is a good player and with Andy and Co. I don't think it's a question that he'd be successful here in a spot start or even a long stretch if Pat got hurt.

Watched Wentz for years and he looks like a bad player. The NFL's not amateur youth sports. Players are expected to execute at a high level in stressful environments and everything I've seen (and I've seen a lot) shows that Wentz is fully incapable of doing this. He has wild mental breakdowns during games and takes heinious sacks or throws checkdowns that I doubt even Matt Castle would consider (-4 yard loss to Noah Gray). Once or twice a game he'll make a mechanically perfect elite throw that only a handful of people on earth can make, but that's surrounded by a raggidy ass jagged sea of awful play. And I'm sorry, in 2024 you've got to be able to run the ball some as a QB. Defenses leave entire sides of the field unguarded and flood the area of the field they know the play's going too and carson still takes woeful sacks when he could scramble for 8+ yards. He needs tijunana ibogaine or something. Not a good pickup by the Chiefs. I would have preferred a stable vet that's had years of level-headed play over the jagged ups and downs of Carson Wentz.
